Using Coeur de Boeuf tomatoes, homemade pizza sauce and artisan cheese makes this classic pizza even more delicious!

Serves 4


4 San Marzano tomatoes

1 tsp Italian herbs

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

Sea salt & black pepper

Rapeseed oil or olive oil

2 Coeur de boeuf tomatoes

Pizza dough mix or shop-bought pizza dough

200g artisan cheese


Chop tomatoes, garlic and onion. Add the Italian herbs. Heat 1 tbsp of olive or rapeseed oil. Cook vegetables for 10 mins. Use a blender to mix the sauce until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Mix the pizza dough, knead and roll out to a thickness of 0.5cm.

Brush the pizza dough with the tomato sauce. Cut the Coeur de Boeuf tomatoes into 0.5cm slices or cubes. Mix in a teaspoon of Italian herbs, and spoon over the pizza dough. Season with pepper and salt. Grate the Italian cheese over the tomatoes. Bake the pizza in the oven for 15 mins at 210C. Serve hot.
