Tomato and garlic pizza balls

These little pizza balls are delicious both hot and cold. Serve as an appetiser, with a steaming bowl of hot soup or as a lunch box treat!

Serves 4

Dairy free, vegetarian

400g San Marzano tomatoes

olive oil

1 garlic clove

cayenne pepper

smoked paprika powder

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

sea salt & black pepper

fresh pizza dough

Finely chop the tomatoes and the garlic. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan, add the chopped vegetables and herbs and leave to simmer for 15 minutes. Using a blender, mix until smooth. Set aside and allow to cool.

Meanwhile, roll the pizza dough into small bite-sized balls. Dip the pizza balls in the tomato sauce and finish with some dried basil and oregano. Bake 20mins in the oven at 200C.
